This air fryer whole chicken is juicy, flavorful, and crispy-skinned with minimal prep. It's an easy, hands-off dinner solution for any night of the week. Perfect for family meals or meal prep!
Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C) for 5 minutes.
Pat the chicken dry with paper towels to remove any moisture.
Rub the chicken all over with olive oil or melted butter.
In a small bowl, mix salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and rosemary.
Rub the seasoning mixture all over the chicken, ensuring it's evenly coated and under the skin where possible.
Optionally, stuff the cavity of the chicken with lemon slices and fresh herbs for extra flavor.
Place the chicken breast-side down in the air fryer basket.
Cook for 30 minutes, then flip the chicken breast-side up and cook for another 25–30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part.
Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving and serving.
