Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish (not creamy)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  • In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, prepared horseradish, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice until smooth.
  • Add the garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using). Whisk again to fully combine all ingredients.
  • Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning as needed. Add more horseradish for extra zing or cayenne pepper for heat.
  • Transfer the sauce to an airtight container or mason jar. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Before serving, give the sauce a quick stir. Use it as a dipping sauce, drizzle over grilled or smoked meats, or brush it on during the last few minutes of cooking.
