Ingredients
  

  • 4 fillets cod fillets (fresh or thawed)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced or powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika or Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp capers (optional)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • 4 slices lemon slices (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Pat cod fillets dry and place them in a lightly greased baking dish.
  • Drizzle olive oil or melted butter over the fillets.
  • Add lemon juice and sprinkle garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika or Italian seasoning evenly.
  • Add optional capers and lemon slices for extra flavor.
  • Bake uncovered for 10–15 minutes, until fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
