Golden, crunchy, and packed with flavor, these Crispy Baked Parmesan Garlic Fries are a healthier alternative to deep-fried versions. Made with fresh potatoes, garlic, Parmesan cheese, and a blend of seasonings, they're perfect as a side dish, appetizer, or snack!
1tablespoonfresh parsley (chopped, optional for garnish)
1/4teaspoonred pepper flakes (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Wash and peel the potatoes if desired, then cut them into thin strips of even thickness. A mandoline slicer or sharp knife works best for consistent cuts.
Soak the cut fries in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain thoroughly and pat dry with paper towels to ensure crispiness.
In a large mixing bowl, toss the dried fries with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning until evenly coated.
Arrange the seasoned fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are not overcrowded to allow for even crisping.
Bake the fries for 20 minutes, then flip them using tongs or a spatula. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
As soon as the fries come out of the oven, toss them gently with minced garlic and grated Parmesan cheese. The residual heat will help melt the cheese slightly.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese. Add red pepper flakes if you prefer a spicy kick.
Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup, aioli, ranch, or marinara.
