Ingredients

  • 3 medium ripe bananas, sliced and frozen (about 2 cups)
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips (dark, semi-sweet, or dairy-free)
  • 1-2 teaspoons almond milk (optional, for easier blending)

Instructions

  • Slice ripe bananas into 1-inch pieces and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • In a food processor or high-speed blender, blend frozen bananas, peanut butter, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add almond milk, one teaspoon at a time, if needed to help blend.
  • Stir in chocolate chips by hand or pulse briefly in the food processor to distribute evenly.
  • Serve immediately as soft-serve nice cream, or transfer to an airtight container and freeze for 1-2 hours for a firmer texture.
  • Top with extra chocolate chips, a drizzle of peanut butter, or chopped nuts before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

For a nut-free version, substitute peanut butter with sunflower seed butter. To prevent ice crystals, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the nice cream before freezing.
