This creamy, guilt-free frozen treat is made with ripe bananas, peanut butter, and chocolate chips. It's naturally sweet, easy to make, and perfect for satisfying sweet cravings in a healthy way!
3mediumripe bananas, sliced and frozen(about 2 cups)
2tablespoonspeanut butter(creamy or crunchy)
1/2teaspoonvanilla extract
2tablespoonschocolate chips(dark, semi-sweet, or dairy-free)
1-2teaspoonsalmond milk(optional, for easier blending)
Instructions
Slice ripe bananas into 1-inch pieces and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
In a food processor or high-speed blender, blend frozen bananas, peanut butter, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add almond milk, one teaspoon at a time, if needed to help blend.
Stir in chocolate chips by hand or pulse briefly in the food processor to distribute evenly.
Serve immediately as soft-serve nice cream, or transfer to an airtight container and freeze for 1-2 hours for a firmer texture.
Top with extra chocolate chips, a drizzle of peanut butter, or chopped nuts before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
For a nut-free version, substitute peanut butter with sunflower seed butter. To prevent ice crystals, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the nice cream before freezing.
