  • 4 medium apples (such as Honeycrisp or Fuji)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter or coconut oil
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp honey, maple syrup, or brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional, to prevent browning)
  • 2 tbsp water or apple juice

Instructions
 

  • Peel (optional), core, and slice the apples into thin pieces.
  • In a skillet, melt butter or coconut oil over medium heat.
  • Add the apple slices and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon over the apples and drizzle with honey, maple syrup, or brown sugar. Stir well and cook for another 5-7 minutes until the apples are tender.
