Instructions
Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté the finely chopped onion and minced garlic until soft and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
Add chicken broth to the skillet, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom, then bring to a gentle simmer.
Pour in the heavy cream and stir in the Parmesan cheese. Let the sauce simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
If using, stir in red pepper flakes for a subtle heat.
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to coat it well with the sauce.
Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is fully coated with the creamy sauce.
Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt or pepper if needed.
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving warm.
