A classic side dish made with crusty bread, butter, fresh garlic, and herbs. Perfectly golden and buttery, this garlic bread is ideal for pairing with pasta, soups, or salads.
In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper (if using). Mix until smooth and well combined.
Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise. Place each half cut-side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased foil.
Using a spatula, generously spread the garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of the bread. If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes over the buttered bread.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10–15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the butter is bubbling.
For extra crispiness, broil the bread for an additional 1–2 minutes. Watch closely to avoid burning.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Slice into individual portions and serve warm.
