This Garlic Shrimp Pasta combines succulent shrimp, aromatic garlic, and perfectly cooked spaghetti in a savory, slightly spicy sauce. A quick and easy dish that’s packed with flavor and perfect for any weeknight meal.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti noodles until al dente, following package directions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the noodles.
While the pasta is cooking, wash the shrimp thoroughly and set aside.
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until they turn pink and curl, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
Drizzle olive oil into the skillet, stirring well to coat the shrimp and garlic.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the shrimp and garlic. Toss together, then sprinkle with Italian seasoning, fresh ground pepper, red pepper flakes, and salt to taste.
Gradually add reserved pasta water, a quarter cup at a time, until the dish reaches your desired consistency.
Toss everything together until well mixed and heated through. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh herbs and a squeeze of lemon if desired.
