A warm and buttery garlic bread with a crispy crust and soft interior. Made with fresh garlic, herbs, and optional cheese, it's perfect as a side dish or appetizer.
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
In a small mixing bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well incorporated. Add garlic powder or red pepper flakes if desired.
Slice the bread in half lengthwise. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both halves of the bread. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top if using.
Place the bread halves cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden and crisp around the edges.
For extra crispiness, broil for an additional 1–2 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
Remove from the oven, slice into portions, and serve warm.
