Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes, breaking it up as it browns.
Drain excess fat if needed.
Add finely chopped onion and cook for 2 minutes until softened. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, yellow mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper.
Simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
