Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes optional, for heat
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • optional cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, mix together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes. Set aside to let the flavors meld.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook for about 5 minutes, or until browned and heated through. Remove the sausage from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add broccoli florets and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. If needed, add a splash of water to steam the broccoli.
  • Add shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until the shrimp turns pink and opaque.
  • Pour the honey garlic sauce over the shrimp and broccoli, adding sausage back into the skillet. Toss everything together until well coated and heated through.
  • Serve over cooked rice or noodles, if desired, and garnish with sesame seeds or green onions for an extra touch!
