Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons meat strips or sausage patties
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • pinch salt
  • 4 croissants, halved
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk or cream
  • 4 meat strips or sausage patties
  • 4 slices cheddar, Swiss, or gouda cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • to taste salt and black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Spread the maple mustard sauce on the bottom half of each croissant. Layer with a slice of cheese, cooked meat or sausage, scrambled eggs, and the top half of the croissant.
  • Cook meat until crispy or sausage patties until fully cooked in a skillet. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk eggs with milk, salt, and black pepper. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat and cook eggs until soft and fluffy, stirring frequently.
  • Lightly toast the croissant halves in a toaster, oven, or skillet until warm and slightly crispy.
  • Spread the maple mustard sauce on the bottom half of each croissant. Layer with a slice of cheese, cooked meat or sausage, scrambled eggs, and the top half of the croissant.
  • Optional: Place assembled sandwiches in a warm oven for a few minutes to melt the cheese further.
  • Serve immediately with coffee, fresh fruit, or hash browns. Enjoy!
