In a bowl, whisk together the tequila, lime juice, orange juice, olive oil, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them.
Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, up to 4 hours.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Remove the chicken from the marinade and grill for 6–7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges if desired.
