Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup tequila (optional)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • lime wedges (optional, for serving)

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, whisk together the tequila, lime juice, orange juice, olive oil, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them.
  • Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, up to 4 hours.
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Remove the chicken from the marinade and grill for 6–7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  • Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges if desired.
