Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh fruit (e.g., mango, strawberry, pineapple, or watermelon), chopped
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup water or fruit juice (for fruit-based paletas)
  • 1/2 cup milk or cream (optional, for creamy paletas)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (optional, for brightness)
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Wash, peel (if necessary), and chop the fresh fruit into small pieces.
  • In a blender, combine the chopped fruit, sugar, water (or milk/cream for creamy variations), lime juice (if using), and salt. Blend until smooth.
  • Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar or honey if needed.
  • Optional: For a smoother texture, strain the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove pulp and seeds.
  • Pour the mixture into popsicle molds, leaving a small gap at the top for expansion.
  • Insert wooden sticks into the molds.
  • Freeze the molds for at least 4–6 hours, or until completely solid.
  • To unmold, run warm water over the outsides of the molds for a few seconds. Gently wiggle the sticks to release the paletas.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
