Instructions
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer.
Add the uncooked fettuccine and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and the sauce thickens (about 12-15 minutes).
Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth. Add salt, pepper, and nutmeg (optional).
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For added protein, try adding grilled chicken or shrimp. For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for the heavy cream.
