These cheesy, hearty oven-baked meatball sandwiches are a comforting meal that everyone will love. Soft hoagie rolls, juicy meatballs, rich marinara sauce, and melted cheese come together to create the perfect sandwich.

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise, but don’t cut all the way through to create a pocket for the meatballs.
Spread a layer of marinara sauce inside each hoagie roll. Add 3-4 meatballs to each roll, followed by more marinara sauce on top.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the meatballs. If using, add Parmesan cheese on top.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Brush this mixture over the top of each sandwich roll.
Arrange the sandwiches in a baking dish and cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 15 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for another 5-7 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the bread is golden brown.
Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve while hot.
Notes
For extra crunch, you can broil the sandwiches for an additional 2-3 minutes after baking.
