Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Slice slider buns in half horizontally, keeping tops and bottoms connected if using Hawaiian rolls.
Place bottom halves of buns in the baking dish.
Spread pizza sauce evenly over the bottom halves of the buns.
Layer shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce, then arrange pepperoni slices evenly over the cheese.
Place the top halves of the buns back on and press gently to keep layers together.
In a small bowl, mix melted butter with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
Brush the butter mixture generously over the tops of the buns.
Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top if using.
Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes.
Remove foil and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until cheese is melted and tops are golden brown.
