Ingredients
  

  • 12 pieces slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 24 slices pepperoni
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Slice slider buns in half horizontally, keeping tops and bottoms connected if using Hawaiian rolls.
  • Place bottom halves of buns in the baking dish.
  • Spread pizza sauce evenly over the bottom halves of the buns.
  • Layer shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce, then arrange pepperoni slices evenly over the cheese.
  • Place the top halves of the buns back on and press gently to keep layers together.
  • In a small bowl, mix melted butter with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
  • Brush the butter mixture generously over the tops of the buns.
  • Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top if using.
  • Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until cheese is melted and tops are golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly before slicing and serving warm.
