Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease.
  • Add chopped onion, diced green bell pepper (optional), and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
  • Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until thickened.
  • Spread the beef mixture evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the meat mixture.
  • Arrange biscuit dough pieces on top of the cheese layer.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes until biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
  • If desired, brush biscuit tops with melted butter after baking.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
