1/2ounceorange liqueur (like triple sec or Cointreau)
1/2ounceagave nectar (adjust to taste)
2-3slicesfresh jalapeño (plus more for garnish)
ice
Tajín or chili-lime salt (optional, for rimming)
lime wedge and pineapple slice (for garnish)
Instructions
If desired, rim a glass with Tajín or chili-lime salt by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it into the seasoning. Fill the glass with ice.
In a cocktail shaker, muddle 2–3 slices of jalapeño with lime juice and agave nectar to release their flavor.
Add mezcal, pineapple juice, orange liqueur, and ice to the shaker. Shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well chilled.
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
Garnish with a slice of jalapeño, a lime wedge, and/or a pineapple slice. Serve immediately and enjoy responsibly!
