Strawberry Margaritas

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled (or frozen)
  • 1 cup blanco tequila
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (about 4 limes)
  • 1/4 cup triple sec or Cointreau
  • 1/4 to 1/3 cup honey, simple syrup, or agave nectar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 1/2 to 2 cups ice (for frozen version)

Instructions
 

  • If desired, prepare glasses by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim and dipping into salt or sugar. Set aside.
  • In a blender, combine strawberries, tequila, lime juice, triple sec, and sweetener. Blend until smooth.
  • For the frozen version, add 1½ to 2 cups of ice to the blender and blend again until slushy. Pour into prepared glasses and serve immediately.
  • For the on-the-rocks version, fill prepared glasses with ice and pour the blended mixture over the top.
  • Garnish with lime wedges or fresh strawberries and enjoy!
