Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 0.5 lb ground halal pork
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup whole milk
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 0.5 tsp ground allspice
  • 0.25 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 0.75 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, soak breadcrumbs in milk for 5 minutes.
  • Add ground beef, ground pork, onion, egg, allspice, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
  • Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  • Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook meatballs in batches until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Remove and keep warm.
  • In the same skillet, whisk in flour and cook 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
  • Gradually whisk in beef broth, scraping up browned bits. Simmer until thickened.
  • Stir in heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Simmer 2-3 minutes until creamy.
  • Return meatballs to skillet and coat with gravy. Simmer 5-10 minutes.
  • Serve warm over mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or rice.
