Ingredients
  

  • 12 pieces Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 0.5 pound deli-sliced honey ham
  • 0.5 pound deli-sliced roasted turkey
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 6 slices mild cheddar cheese
  • 0.33 cup salted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar, for garnish
  • to taste raspberry preserves, for serving

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Without separating, slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally to create top and bottom layers. Place the bottom halves in the baking dish.
  • Layer Swiss cheese evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls.
  • Add the sliced honey ham over the Swiss cheese layer.
  • Place the roasted turkey slices on top of the ham.
  • Add the mild cheddar cheese slices as the next layer.
  • Place the top halves of the rolls over the assembled layers.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, egg, and black pepper.
  • Brush this mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls to create a buttery glaze.
  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  • Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before dusting the tops with powdered sugar.
  • Serve warm with raspberry preserves on the side for dipping.
