Ingredients
  

  • 1 can (14 oz) dulce de leche
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup whole milk (optional, for thinning)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch sea salt (optional, to taste)
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries (for dipping)
  • 1 cup sliced apples (for dipping)
  • 1 cup banana slices (for dipping)
  • 1 cup marshmallows (for dipping)
  • 1 cup pound cake cubes (for dipping)
  • 1 cup pretzels (for dipping)

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the dulce de leche and heavy cream.
  • Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and heated through, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt. Stir to combine.
  • If the fondue is too thick, add whole milk one tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
  • Transfer the warm mixture to a fondue pot or small slow cooker to keep warm.
  • Serve immediately with prepared dippers such as fruit, marshmallows, cake cubes, or pretzels.
